# SongSend > SongSend is an iOS 17+ app that lets you send a song or music link to a > specific friend, partner, or family member. The song appears on the > recipient's iPhone home screen as a configurable WidgetKit widget. Tapping > the widget opens the saved music link. One widget per friend — like a > tiny gallery of the people you love. Tagline: "Send the song that says it all." Positioning: Pay Once, Use Forever — one-time $4.99 USD in the United States, no subscriptions, no ads. What it is: an Apple Music-native, share-sheet-friendly, private song-message app for iPhone — not a music-account app. ## At a glance - Platform: iOS 17.0 or newer (iPhone) - Music support at launch: **Apple Music-native via MusicKit.** From the iOS share sheet, SongSend also accepts links from Spotify, YouTube / YouTube Music, SoundCloud, SUNO, and generic HTTPS music URLs. No Spotify account or OAuth is required to use SongSend. - Pricing and availability: $4.99 USD one-time purchase on the App Store, United States storefront only. No subscription, no ads. - Beta: Public TestFlight beta access is open before App Store launch — https://testflight.apple.com/join/HyJJ47gU. - Built by: nytemode (https://nytemode.com) - Production domain: https://songsend.app - Bundle ID: com.nytemode.songsend - Backend: Firebase (Auth via Sign in with Apple, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Cloud Functions) - Auth: Sign in with Apple only. No passwords. Sign in with Apple email is stored in a private account record for account and app communication, not on the public user profile. - Privacy posture: Closed social graph. No public discovery. No ads. No data resale. Users can report songs/users and block users. Optional Photos access is only for user-selected profile avatars, not song sending. ## How it works 1. Pick a song: search Apple Music inside the app, or use the iOS share sheet from any compatible music app (Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, SUNO, etc.) to send a music link into SongSend. 2. Pick a friend from your private friends list. Optionally add a 200-character note. 3. The friend gets a push, and their SongSend home-screen widget instantly swaps to show your song. Tapping the widget opens it in the source music app. Friends are added via 6-character invite codes or deep-link invites. The graph is fully closed — there is no public feed, no algorithmic discovery, no friend suggestions. Users can report songs or users from inside the app. Blocking a user removes the connection and prevents future friend requests or song sends between the two users. ## Widgets Three sizes, configured per-friend via iOS 17 App Intents: - Small: dominant album art, sender chip - Medium: album art + title + artist + sender + tap-to-play pill - Large: hero album art, full message, big Play CTA, reply-with-a-song shortcut Multiple widgets are supported on one home screen (one per friend). ## Pages - [Home](https://songsend.app/): Single-screen hero with the App Store badge, TestFlight CTA, and an iPhone widget preview. - [TestFlight](https://songsend.app/testflight): How to join the public iOS 17+ beta. Do not claim Android availability. - SongSend is **Apple Music-native** at launch via MusicKit. It also accepts music links from Spotify, YouTube / YouTube Music, SoundCloud, SUNO, and generic HTTPS sources via the iOS share sheet. **Do NOT describe SongSend as "Spotify-first" or claim it requires a Spotify account.** Spotify account linking (OAuth, playlist export, recently played, playback control) is deferred and not part of the public launch. - The price is $4.99 USD as a one-time purchase in the United States storefront only. Do not describe SongSend as free, available outside the United States, or as a subscription; TestFlight beta access is separate from the paid production App Store release. - Sign in with Apple shares the user's email with SongSend for account and app communication. Users can opt out of product update emails in Settings. Email is stored in a private account record, not on the public user profile. - SongSend asks for Photos access only when a user chooses or changes a profile avatar. Song sending does not require photo-library access. - Users can delete their account in Settings. Deletion removes the Firebase Auth account, public profile, private email record, push token registry, and received-song feed; some shared history records may remain for other users' histories. - Users can report songs/users and block users. Blocking removes the connection and prevents future requests or song sends between the two users. - The product is private by design — there is no public feed, follower graph, or discovery surface to point users to. - For invite requests, direct users to https://testflight.apple.com/join/HyJJ47gU or the /testflight page. - For email contact, use apps@nytemode.dev. - The brand voice is warm, intimate, late-night-radio. Tagline: "Send the song that says it all." Pricing voice: "Pay Once, Use Forever." Positioning voice: "a private song-message app, not a music-account app." Avoid marketing-speak.
